Yama Ringman: Preschool Teacher 

Hi, I am Yama Ringman. I’ve been with FLP since 1996.  My husband, Jack, and I have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren.  We are truly blessed!  I love children, they are God’s most precious gift to us!  I love being part of FLP, it’s a gift to me.  Please come visit and volunteer while your child is in school.  We truly enjoy seeing you and having your help.  Thank you for sharing and blessing us with your children at school this year.  

 Kara Zeigler: Preschool Teacher

 
Hi, I am Kara Zeigler.  I have enjoyed teaching at Faith Lutheran since 2007.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma Wesleyan University.  Since then I have enjoyed working with children in either a Sunday School or Preschool setting.  There’s nothing more fun than watching children learn and grow!  FLP is a wonderful school.  Both of my girls attended here and I am excited for another year.  I married my college sweetheart.  My husband, Casey, and I are blessed with 3 children.  We are both Colorado natives and enjoy many of the fun things that Colorado has to offer.  

Chris Barstad: Pre Kindergarten Teacher 

Hi, I am Chris Barstad.  I’m originally from northern Minnesota.  My passion has always involved children.  At 16, I started teaching Sunday School and knew education was in my future.  I received an Elementary Education Degree from Moorhead State University.  My husband and I moved to Colorado 16 years ago.  We are busy raising four boys, a Saint Bernard and a Cocker Spaniel.  All of my children were lucky to attend FLP!  We loved the philosophy, care and education that FLP provided.  I look forward to teaching your children!  

Debi Stalker: Junior Kindergarten Teacher

 
Hi, I am Debi Stalker.  I am the Gold Class Teacher.  I am so excited to be part of the FLP team as my two girls were both fortunate to attend preschool here.  My Early Childhood Education experience began in 1987 at Florida State University where I received my BS in Child Development and Family Science.  I have taught and directed preschools for 15 years.  Now that my girls have entered the public school setting, I am excited to return to the work I love.  I look forward to providing an experience-rich environment for your children to thrive in.  I know we will have a great year.   

Denise Cooper: Pre-Kindergarten Teacher 

Hi, I am Denise Cooper.  I am married and have two sons, 16 and 13.  My youngest son attended FLP for 2 years and we loved the love, joy and faith-based academics present in the preschool.  I joined the FLP staff in 2005.  I was an assistant for 2 years and this will be my 5th year teaching the 4/5 year classes.  I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as Director Certification.  I love working with children and am looking forward to a wonderful year.  

Emily Ragan: Preschool Teacher

Hi, I am Emily Ragan.  I was born and raised in Colorado, received my degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and am a certified Paralegal.  After being in the legal field and having children, I assisted at FLP for two years, then was employed at Academy Charter School as an Instructional Assistant and substitute teacher.  I also held a position on the Parent Teacher Organization for three years, before going back to teach at FLP.  I have two daughters, 11 and 12, a wonderful husband, dog and cat!  We love to ski, attend Broncos games, and enjoy life in general here in Colorado.  I also enjoy working out, and am passionate about fitness and nutrition.  I adore young children and am blessed to have the opportunity of teaching them in their early years. 

Leslie Farmer: Music and Lunch Bunch Teacher

 
Hi, I am Leslie Farmer.  I have been living in Castle Rock for about fifteen years and have lived in Colorado most of my life.  This will be my third year at FLP and I feel blessed to work with such a wonderful staff.  Prior to working at FLP, I was a substitute teacher at my children’s school, and taught in many areas of children’s ministry.  When I’m not teaching kids, I enjoy reading, walking my dogs, baking, and spending time with my husband and two daughters.  I really enjoy working with young children, and appreciate their enthusiasm and creativity.  I’m looking forward to another great year in music and lunch bunch, see you there! 

Sandy Vega: Preschool Teacher

Hi, I am Sandy Vega.  I have been married 24 years.  We have four grown children.  My love is to see my family serve Jesus and love others with God.  Newest hobbies are Nordic Walking across Front Range and vegan baking.  My favorite verse to pray is Psalm 91.  I am starting my seventh year as an assistant teacher at FLP and loving it! 

Deb Van Sicklin: Assistant Teacher

Hi, I am Deb Van Sicklin.  I was born and raised in Westchester County, New York, where I received my Liberal Arts degree from Westchester Community College.  I have six classes left to finish my B.A. in Behavioral Science from Metro State.  My husband and I have 3 happy children, a sloppy St. Bernard, a rambunctious Lab, a huge cat, and 2 cute guinea pigs.  They keep us busy but in our spare time we like to camp, hike and ski!  For the last 10 years, I have been busy at home raising our children, and helping other moms with childcare.  I am very excited to join the FLP staff, as all our children attended FLP! 

Sally Garrick: Assistant Teacher
 

Hi, I am Sally Garrick.  I am so excited for my first year working at FLP.  My two children both attended the preschool and loved it, so I am looking forward to joining the great staff. 

Kendra Schilffarth : Assistant Teacher

Hi, I am Kendra Schilffarth.  I have lived in Castle Rock for 10 years with my husband and two daughters.  I am excited to begin my second year of working here at FLP.  Both of my daughters attended the program before going on to attend Academy Charter School.  I am a busy mom, but when I have some free time I like to cook, read and travel.  Looking forward to another successful year in the Gold Class.
