Sunday School is going on a Bug Safari!
Sunday School children, preschool through 6th grade have been Buggy about Jesus! This year we have worked hard to learn about what bugs tell us or remind us about how God wants us to be. To serve others like the ladybugs. To work together like the ants. To Believe in God! To Stand out for Jesus. Well, as we wrap up our Sunday School year in the next couple of weeks we thought it would be fun to have a guest from the Butterfly Pavilion come in and take us on a Bug Safari with them. Sunday, May 6th we will have a guest speaker from the Butterfly Pavilion come in so we can get up close with live insects, spiders and other arthropods from around the world. We hope that all of our Sunday School kids can stop by to see what all the buzz is about.

 SUPER SUMMER CAMP JUNE 2012
Do you have an Elementary or Middle School child that is in need of some fun summer time activities?
For the entire month of June we are having week long morning and afternoon specialty camps for your child to enjoy, these classes are divided and designed for specific age and interests of your child.
The morning session is from 9a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and our afternoon session is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. We will also have an intersession program that runs from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and again from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. if you want an all day camp experience for your child.
Each camp is designed around a specialty interest area and taught by a person that has expertise in that area. Some of our morning and afternoon themes include:
Cooking around the World Build a Painting
Space is the Place Jewelry Design
Junk Yard Band Beginning Quilting
Beginning Acting Beginning Architecture
Camp Out Build your own Skateboard
World of Water Color Bakery Cooking
Beginning Photography Sports Galore
COSTS:
Our registration fee is $30.00 dollars per family and depending on which camps you enroll in there may be a supply list to bring to the first day of class or a supply fee for the instructor to collect the materials before class begins.
- Each camp session for a week costs from $90.00 - $ 150.00 a session.
- The morning session is from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Camps run 6/4/12–6/8/12; 6/11/12 -6/15/12; 6/18/12- 6/22/12 and 6/25/12-6/29/12.
- Morning intersession from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. is $5.00 dollars
- Lunch intersession from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. is $5.00 dollarsI
- f you enroll in both sessions for the day it is $8.00 dollars
- We do not offer sibling discount.

 Vacation Bible School - SonSurf Beach Bash VBS
July 23rd through July 27th

You can meet up, look up, join up, open up and get fired up about living with Jesus!

Please put July 23-27th on your calendar as a week to share your love of Jesus with kids of Castle Rock through our Vacation Bible School. We have room for lots of volunteers. Don’t be shy!
Pastor Ebassa, Deb Van Sicklin or Amy Kopp can answer your questions. Look for sign up sheets around the church as our week at the beach gets closer.

Thank you in your interest in our Preschool program for 2012-2013. Our registration began February 6th, 2012 for our currently enrolled FLP families and active church members. Our registration for alumni families and church members began on February 13th, and then on February 21st, registration was opened to the general public.

- Child must be independent in toileting - no diapers - no Pull-ups!
- Parent participation is encouraged on a regular, rotating basis

Monday & Wednesday
- M & W Mornings 9:00-12:00 Tuition $1750+ (ten equal payments of $175
- M & W Afternoons 12:45 - 3:45 Tuition $1650 (ten equal payments of $165)

We offer Sunday School for PreK-6 graders September through May.
We have a bible presentation for 3rd graders in the fall of the Sunday School year.
4th graders receive Communion instruction and celebrate their 1st Communion in the spring of the Sunday School year.
5th & 6th Graders receive acolyte training and are asked to volunteer as acolytes during worship services.
First Communion
Faith believes all baptized believers in Christ are welcome to the Lords’ table. Communion instruction formally begins with the pastor instructing 4th graders about communion during the Lenten season. However, a child younger than 4th grade may commune if 3 criteria are met:
- The child expresses a sincere interest in receiving the sacrament.
- The parents agree to the child's request.
- The pastor meets with the child (and/or parents) to verify the child's sincere request.
Many children come to our congregation already receiving cmmunion prior to 4th grade. We do not make the child stop taking communion but simply ask that the pastor be informed of the situation.
