SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY

On Sunday, May 20, we will honor our Sunday School teachers.
We are asking Sunday School students and parents to write letters of
appreciation to the teachers.

Dear Teachers:
You are a team of champions (stars)! There’s no doubt this is true.
You’re connecting with a heart for God; It shows in what you do.
You are a magnetic team; There’s no doubt this is true.
You’re working EXTRA hard, And we are EXTRA proud of you!
You’ve become fishers of men; There’s no doubt this is true.
Punching holes in darkness, making light; Yes, you’re a wonderful crew.
For many, you are life savers; There’s no doubt this is true.
You’re the best in the Milky Way; Your dedication to Bible teaching is the clue.
You pen your preparation each week as champions; There’s no doubt this is true.
You’re connecting with a heart for God; It shows in what you do!

Teaching Sunday School is one of the most blessed activities a person can engage in; one of great responsibility which deserves recognition and appreciation. Sunday school teachers are worth their weight in gold, volunteering time in both preparation and service preparing godly leaders of tomorrow. The only way they will ever get the reward they deserve as a Sunday school teacher is when they get to heaven and our Lord, Jesus Christ, tells each of them: ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.’ Matthew 25:34

I would like to ask students and parents, if you would take a few minutes this week and write a card of appreciation and thanks to our Sunday School teachers. Place the teacher’s name and your class on the envelope and put in Pastor Ebassa’s office. The deadline for cards is Sunday, May 13th.
