The FLC Property Team helped to orchestrate a very successful Work Day during April. A group of 25 highly motivated volunteers helped make that possible and the church premises made us proud for the Easter season. And now Spring is trying hard to get started (really?) and that means the Property Team is getting our lawn, garden and ground equipment gassed up, primed and sharpened, to be ready to launch into our summer time tasks of mowing, trimming, planting, and watering. If you think you would like to assist "the team" in these work assignments, just let us know. If a few people are willing to ride a mower (not a horse) we can share the fun, and no one would have to be "saddled" all summer getting the job done.....and you can enjoy the outdoors at the same time....really! In fact, it is a great way for any of our youth that need to log "Community Service" hours to get a head start. Our anticipated "official work project" during the summer, besides the normal maintenance items mentioned, will probably be an attempt to re-work the pavers in our patio area outside the Fellowship Hall; i.e. re-arrange, enlarge, create a border, etc. SO, if you have landscaping skills that fit this task, please come aboard and help us make the needed improvements in this area as well. We think this can really look inviting and offer a very relaxing atmosphere for sharing our fantastic western view.
