The purpose of the pyramid is to describe what makes Faith a healthy vibrant community dedicated to being an effective witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Building from the ground up each successive principle builds upon the other until ultimately creating a monument to Christ.

  • FOUNDATION- Who We Are -  "Every member a minister."

The vision starts with FLC’s people as our foundation. Our people of Faith are the very hands and feet of God that make our mission possible.   This is why we emphasize that every member, not just staff or pastors, is a minister of the gospel. When our members minister in daily life: family life, work life, and church life, God becomes real in "real life".

  • CORE COMPENTENCIES- What We Do - "Gathered, Blessed, Sent"

Core competencies build the framework on top of our foundation (the people of Faith) to ensure we meet our mission.  Each member in order to effectively and lovingly minister must stay connected to the source of love, Jesus Christ.  That connection happens in three major ways: Christian community (Gathered in prayer and praise), Stewardship (Blessed to Bless), and Service (Sent to Serve).

  • OPERATING PRINCIPLES- Our Day-to-Day Way of Life - "F.A.I.T.H."

Operating principles highlight what must happen on a daily basis for us to fulfill our mission.  If every day we can be:

Intentionally inviting,

Trusting and

Honoring God, our mission is that much easier to achieve.

  • MISSION- Our Strategic Intent- "Reaching, Teaching & Healing All with God’s Love."

Our mission statement encapsulates our purpose as a Christian congregation. We believe God has called us to reach out.  We also believe that God has uniquely given us the corporate and individual gifts of teaching and healing to bring God’s love to bear on a hurting world.

  • VISION- What We Aspire to - "Witnessing the Difference God’s love makes."

Our vision statement describes the passion and motivation that drives our need to meet our mission.  In this case, our passion and motivation is the confidence that God’s love positively changes lives for the better.

  • RALLYING CRY- "Witness the Difference!"

At the top of our pyramid is our rallying cry; a short memorable phrase that summarizes FLC’s vision and mission in a simple but powerful way. It articulates what makes us a Christ centered, purpose driven congregation.
