GALATIANS BIBLE STUDY

Paul’s letter to the Galatians is one of the most influential books of the New Testament. Martin Luther credits it with leading him to his understanding of a good and gracious God.  While its an easy read, consisting of just six chapters, its also a marvelous meal for those that want to dig into the grace of God.

Fred Hessler will be facilitating this group that meets on Thursday nights. Any one wishing to participate should contact Fred Hessler for details of time and place.

MEN"S BREAKFAST AND BIBLE STUDY

The Men’s Group will meet this Saturday, February 4th, for breakfast and devotions in the fellowship hall from 7 am to 9 am.  Shirt and shoes required– shave optional! Contact Dave Havelka or Carl Kopp with any questions.

YouTube Video“Christianity and the Competition with Dr. Paul Maier”

The world horizon is littered with competing religions and philosophies.  Which has it right?  The bold claims of Christianity or other religious rivals... We'll look at sacred sources and secular sources.  Many Christians assume that other world religious systems have similar supporting evidence...Lets take a look. This study utilizes the presentations of Dr. Paul Maier (retired Professor of Ancient History at Western Michigan and former Vice President of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod) in comparing and contrasting Christianity with other world religions.  Pastor Mike will be facilitating this once a month men’s Bible study which meets the first Saturday of each month.  In September we looked at Hinduism and in February we will be looking at Judaism.
The coffee is strong, the cooks are good, the breakfasts are great, the company is Christian, and the conversations are spiritually stimulating …need anymore reasons to haul yourself out of bed early on a Saturday morning?!

A dedicated wife, mother of two, mother-in-law to two, and happy grandmother to two, Moore lives in Houston, Texas, where she leads Living Proof Ministries. Where:   Tiffany Leeman's house, Contact Dawnee Harbach in the church office for directions

On Wednesday, January 4, 2012, we will be started a new Bible study.  We will continue using the “Following God (Discipleship) Series.” Our new book by Rick Shepherd is called “Life Principles for Worship from the Feasts of Israel.” Rick Shepherd is an excellent author with whom we are familiar.  We’ll be looking at how the God ordained feasts of the Old Testament are a picture of the Messiah in the New Testament.  This will be an exciting study and you will learn a lot.

Come and Join us on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday mornings of the month from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.  Refreshments and great fellowship are an important part of this group. We also support a new mothers ministry and enjoy using our offerings to serve others within our congregation, our community, and beyond.  Most recently, our giving has benefited the Faith Lutheran Church emergency fund, the Women’s Crisis Center, the Douglas County Task Force, and Lutheran Disaster Relief for Haiti.  Call Barb Weide at 303-688-7987 for more information.
