Overview of Small Groups
Small Groups are alive and well at Faith Lutheran!  Come and experience a better sense of community through the relationships you develop during the time spent in this more intimate environment.  Small Groups fulfill several purposes:  learning, support, fellowship, or mission.  Many of our Small Groups are intended for learning.  However, learning is only one component, and everyone certainly learns the importance of building a relationship with one another during the time that is spent in a learning environment.  Come and check one of them out!
LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
Sarah Circle is meeting two times each month, on the first and third Wednesday’s from 9:30-11:30 a.m. We are studying the book of Ephesians using the study guide “Following God Through the Bible.” Bring your Bible or use one from the library. Come enjoy good discussion and great fellowship. If you have questions call Bible study leader Barbara Weide at 303-688-7987.
BROWN BAG BIBLE STUDY
Since the beginning of Lent, members who want to participate in a “easy access” Bible Study have been gathering at noon on Mondays.  This small group meets in the library, and the participants bring a sack lunch, to maximize their time.  If you were a member of the Pegasis Bible Study, or you are in the Castle Rock area, and like to take a lunch break, this may be the group for you!  The format of the Bible study is  “lectionary-based”, meaning we look at the lessons for the next Sunday.  Everyone learns something new, and we have a great exchange of ideas and insights into God’s Word.

Come and try out this group.  Everyone is welcome.  We have “stay-at-home” young moms, retired folks, and those who are still working full-time.  It’s a great group, and you can enjoy having a lunch break with the addition of “food for thought”! The facilitator of this Bible Study is Cindy Buschagen.  You can reach her at discipleship@faithcrco.org or at 303/ 688-3476, if you have questions or concerns.

WOMEN'S EVENING BIBLE STUDY
BIBLE STUDY OFFERS HOPE
The Women’s Evening Bible Study (WEBS) is offered on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of each month from 6:30–8:30 pm with childcare provided. Participants are encouraged to come on both dates but if you can only attend one session each month there are excellent daily exercises & scripture readings you can do to stay current. The “Hope: Our Longing for Home” is a small group study designed to enhance our ability to get to know one another better. Participants are asked to bring a snack to share for fellowship. Our May meeting nights are Monday, May 5th & Monday, May 19th.  The facilitator of this Small Group Bible study is Cindy Buschagen.
You are welcome to join this group, but check with Cindy to obtain your book. You can reach her at discipleship@faithcrco.org or at 303-688-3476, if you have questions or concerns.

MEN’S GROUP:  Men of Faith

The invitation is always open for you to join us the first Saturday of each month for breakfast and fellowship. We meet from 7 to 9am. Coming up in April the Men of Faith are planning to join other men from around the state at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp. The dates for the retreat are April 24th -27th. We will enjoy wonderful food and fellowship. The morning starts with breakfast and then a lesson from God’s word. We then have the opportunity to reflect on His word as we enjoy the beauty of His creation fly-fishing on the Arkansas River. So, plan to bring an appetite and your fly rod on this retreat. If you have any questions please contact David Havelka, Carl Kopp, Stu Bailey or Karl Krueger.

Quilt Group News – The quilt group will be continuing to meet on Monday mornings in the library.  The main project for the winter and spring of 2008 will be small quilts to be included in the foster care packages being put together by the Sunday School for Lutheran Family Services.

The quilt group leader hopes to be working on quilts on the beach in Melbourne Beach.  This does not mean that the group is leaderless and without direction.  There is still an adequate supply of material and instructions so that anyone can jump in and help with the service project above.

Thanks to all the dedicated quilters who worked on this year’s projects:

Ginger Brown           Chris Elliott             Becky Heacock

SENIOR GET-TOGETHER
The Senior Get-Together is a monthly gathering of between 24-38 folks, who gather for food and fellowship.  We meet on the third Tuesday of each month, usually beginning  at noon.  On most occasions , there is a program offered after the potluck meal.  This month, however, DO NOT cook, seniors.  Leave the cooking to the chefs at Pegasus Restaurant.

On Tuesday, May 20th, take your appetite to one of Faith’s favorite places to dine,Pegasus is located at 313 Jerry Street.  There you’ll join with all the other seniors who will be glad they took the time from their traveling, grandchildren, golf, tennis, and other adventures to spend time enjoying one another’s company.   Pegasis has a broad menu choice, so you’ll be certain to find something to suit your taste buds.

Please sign up on the Fellowship Bulletin Board, as we will have to make reservations.
Reservation deadline is Sunday, May 18th.
